Vanguard IOD95

The Optimist Dinghy is the most popular type of sailboat for racing sailors under 15 years of age. The Vanguard Optimist has been designed and proven to be safe, durable, and competetive. Each boat carries three flotation bags, guaranteeing a bouyant, self-righting boat. Vanguard used the patented Plexus bonding agent to bond the hull and deck which insures a watertight seal and the strength needed in this critical area. With over 150,000 Optimist Dinghies racing in 85 countries, the Optimist is one of the largest classes in the world. In fact, the Optimist boasts the largest single one-design regatta ever with over 400 boats on the starting line. Young sailors can compete at the club, regional, national and world levels as their skills develop. The skills that the Optimist fosters can be directly translated into other classes, so the top sailors graduating from the Optimist find themselves competign at the top of the Laser Radial and 420 classes.
Here at Moorhouse Sailmakers, Inc., we offer a wide variety of both club and racing packages for the Vanguard IOD95. Vanguard Pram
The Vanguard Pram was designed to be sailed, rowed, or towed. For rowing it has built-in seating, which also double as buoyancy tanks. In sailing mode, the Pram features a molded-in mast step and a simple rig and a blade package. The stable hull shape and bulletproof construction makes the Vanguard Pram a fantastic choice for all three purposes. The pram performs much like higher priced racing prams so it is an affordable option for camps and yacht clubs looking for durable "learn-to-sail" boats. Young sailors will learn essential trimming and sail handling techniques, lessons that they will use for years to come. The pram is perfect for sailing around the harbor, towing to an island getaway or commuting out to your mooring. Anyone needing a multi-purpose sailing dinghy should own a Vanguard Pram.
